Within a period of two years from May 1999 to June 2001, the district managed to bring online majority of the services rendered through District Collectorate, The Taluk offices, the Panchayat Union Offices and the District Rural Development Agency. |
| One of the most difficult areas in Taluk office computerisation is the conduct of annual audit of village accounts called JAMABANTHI. Jamabanthi is a month long exercise in each and every Taluk office in India during which the annual demand for each and every village revenue account is settled. It used to take at least 60 days to write these lengthy accounts by the Village Administrative Officers. Auditing these accounts by the Jamabanthi Officer is again a headache. Physically it is impossible to scrutinise the manually prepared accounts. There are 24 registers to audit. |
| The Firstline’s team achieved a national record in Tiruvarur by developing and successfully implementing an online application software in all the 7 Taluk offices of Tiruvarur district within a period of just 9 months.
